One of my friends (Mende Smith) at work brought in a clear jar and added bubble gum to her jar. As I walked by her desk, all the bright beautiful colors caught my eye. What's your favorite color?
This reminds me of a funny story, and yes I'm going to share. In our earlier dating years, Joe worked at Blockbuster Video and each store he worked in had a GIANT gum ball machine. Well every time I went to visit Joe (like a good girlfriend) I would always purchase a gum ball and I would get all the employees to try and guess what color would come out. My favorite ones were the light blue and Joe's were the white. Joe knew how much I loved those things so our very first Christmas together, he had the gumball guy open up the machine and Joe purchased enough gumballs to fill an entire stocking. Not only did he give me a TON of gumballs of all different colors, him and his friends 'shrink wrapped' each of them. At Blockbuster they would put that tight plastic on all the movies they 'sold.' So Joe literally took the time to wrap each of them in plastic so they wouldn't get hard or go bad. LOL it was a GREAT 1st Christmas gift. I think it took me almost a year to chew them all up.
Now every time I see a gumball machine, I smile and remember the silly things we did together when we were dating.
